1948Santa Barbara County suffers a severe drought. Price, Heckendorff and other civic leaders launch a campaign for the construction of a new reservoir on the Santa Ynez River.
1949 Headline 1949Santa Barbara voters approve the construction of Bradbury Dam, creating Lake Cachuma. The dam is completed in 1953 and spills for the first time in 1958.
1951The firm hires Lillian Fish, one of the first women to practice law in Santa Barbara. Fish remains with the firm for the next 23 years.
100th Anniversary Party at the Valley Club 1952The firm celebrates its 100th anniversary.

Law Practice Management, which becomes a standard textbook for operating a law office.
1953John Heaney passes away. The firm changes its name from Heaney, Price, Postel & Parma to Price, Postel & Parma.
